The main school building is an imposing piece of architecture. The covered area exceeds 114299.38138 square foot and the building has been designed with a view to providing the most up-to-date facilities.JGIS has a cricket ground . The foundation stone of the building was laid Sri Sri Arjan Das Ji Udaseen The President of Jai Gurudev Seva Samiti and the building was inaugurated on 19 June 2011 by Sri Sri Arjan Das Ji Udaseen,Mr.Nana Bhau Ji Mahod and Mr.Kanahi ram ji raghuwanshi. The very best of facilities have been provided to the teachers and students of Jgis regardless of cost .Latest teaching aids such as electronic smart board, aids are regularly used for the teaching-learning process at the school. Additionally, nearly an entire floor of the school has been used for the science laboratories and the library. There are separate rooms for teaching music.The senior classrooms, dance room and the art room of the school have been recently renovated .Students also have access to an RO (Reverse Osmosis) drinking water system, which has several water points on each floor. The school also has a state-of-the-art staff training center, where teacher training workshops are organized throughout the year. This is to constantly widen subject familiarity as well be updated with the latest teaching methodologies and evaluation tools. JGIS School continuously strives to upgrade the technology infrastructure –the addition of over 30computers for the senior labs has been a recent happening in this regard. A school administrative software enables the accurate and efficient functioning of the school system. The software takes care of the Time Table generation, Examination, Payroll and Student & Staff Information System. The infrastructure of JGIS School is thus a valuable asset directed towards building a student community par excellence.

Curriculum

Upper Primary Section English, Hindi and Math SUBJECTS Offered in Primary: The school is so structured that the Primary Section (classes I-V), evolves into the Upper Primary Section (classes VI-VIII), which in turn matures into the Secondary and Senior Section (classes IX-XII). METHODOLOGY The curriculum encourages students to develop an understanding of key concepts. In the curriculum, at this level, concepts are represented by different examples that share common attributes. In this way, a sound base is built to equip them with appropriate attitude and skills. The teaching is project based, activity oriented and content centric. Theme teaching is in practice to promote cross curriculum understanding. SUBJECTS The following are the subjects offered by the JGIS Chhindwara:- • Language i (English) • Language ii (Hindi) • Language iii ( Sanskrit) • Mathematics • Sciences • Social Sciences • Computer or any one optional subject (G.K., value education, art & craft, etc.) Internal Assessment in the following subjects is done on the basis of the grades of a five-point scale (i.e. A, B, C, D and E) ASSESSMENT Evaluation of academic subjects in classes VI to VIII is done both through Formative and Summative Assessment. Formative Assessments are spread through the year and the Summatives are conducted at the end of each term i.e. September and March. SECONDARY The students undergo the CCE spread over two terms, one from April to September and the second from October to March. The Formative Assessment is a part of school based assessment and Summative Assessment at the end of each term. These students are assessed by the school as per the strengthened CCE Scheme as described above for class IX and class X for two terms. At the end of the academic year, students are issued the CCE certificate by the CBSE. SR. SECONDARY The school offers a wide range of academic choices: Commerce, Science subjects in XI & XII.
